The International Conference on Biopesticides has been held every 2 or 3 years since 1996. The 6th of this series of conference is being organized for 11-16 December 2011 in Chiangmai, Thailand. The purpose of this Conference is to bring together scientists and professionals from academia, research institutions, industry and government to report on the discovery, development and proper use of biopesticides in agriculture, forestry and public health. The emphasis of this Conference will be placed on presentations and discussions of fundamental and applied research and implementation of research projects on the discovery, development, safety and proper use of biological and naturalistic tools for the control of pests and diseases of crops, animals, forestry and human health. All interested individuals are encouraged to attend, (attendance does not require paper presentation), present papers and engage in the exchange of scientific data and information.
Language: The official language will be English.
Government: Letter of invitation to the Conference will be sent on request after receipt of the registration form and fees.
Visa: Letter of invitation for visa application will be sent on request after receipt of the registration form and fees. Please check with the local Thai Embassy/Consulate for visa details and other requirements.
Excursions & Scientific Visits: Queen Sirikit Botanical Garden, Northern Thailand, Biological Control Center, Maejo University, Agricutural Research Center of Northern Thailand (Dept. of Agriculture) and other sites of scientific, historical and cultural interests. These tours are included in the registration fee. Many other tours are available and can be arranged with tour agencies and guides.
