On
behalf of the Organizing Committee and the International Fruit Fly Steering
Committee, you are cordially invited to participate in the 9th International
Symposium on Fruit Flies of Economic Importance (ISFFEI) which will
be held in Bangkok, Thailand from 12-16 May 2014.
The
Symposium will be hosted by Department of Agricultural Extension (DOAE),
Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, in cooperation with other agencies.
The purpose of the Symposium is to bring together scientists, researchers, academicians
and those who are involved with various aspects of fruit flies of economic
importance from government agencies, universities, research and extension
institutions, international agencies, and industries worldwide to present and
discuss all aspects of fruit flies of economic importance including recent
development related to the environment-friendly pest management strategies. The
committees hope that this Symposium will lead to advanced knowledge and better
collaboration among fruit fly workers from around the world.
